Harmonia Rosales, a Chicago-based artist, is fast becoming social media modern day Michaelangelo with her controversial painting of recreating Michelangelo's "The Creation ofAdam". The original painting by Michelangelo can be seen in the Sistine Chapel located in in Vatican City, but Harmonia Rosales' version replaces Adam, God, and the other male characters with an entire cast of black women. She said she want her daughter to grow up to be proud of her proud skin, curls and coils. The 33-year-old artist told Buzzfeed that she wanted to take a "widely recognized painting" – one that shows white men as central figures of authority and flip  the script. The jihadist, Boko Haram on Sunday killed eigh t CJTF in Kayamla, Borno state, northeast of Nigeria. The civilian militia force at about 5:30am on Sunday were ambushed by the Boko Haram member who were already waiting for them on trees and other strategic places. The members of the militia force were waiting for soldiers at kayamla village, kodunga area of Borno state when the attack happened.  “We lost eight good men in an ambush by Boko Haram gunmen at about 5:30 am (0430 GMT),” said Ibrahim Liman, a member of civilian militia force, in the state capital Maiduguri, which is 10 kilometres (six miles) away. Kwame Bonsu, a Ghanaian football player in the Sweden second division was sentenced to two years in prison for allegedly beating and raping his wife. The wife, a Swedish citizen who they first met in the year 2014 and got married the following year said the beating started in November 2015 in their apartment when he refused to let her out one evening but Bonsu repeatedly denied the charges but testimonies from the wife’s relatives and friends led the court to believe the victim’s version of the event. The Swedish court has ruled that after serving his sentence, the 22 years who played for the Gefle IF club will be expelled from the country where he had lived since 2013, the Gavle district court ruled. His club, Gefle has also dismissed Bonsu from the team following the incident with immediate effect, he will also have to pay the sum of 245,000 kronor (25,000 euros, $28,000) compensation to the wife.

Titilope Sonuga is a prolific writer and spoken word poet, she has graced both local and international stages, in a country where spoken word poetry craft is fast developing and gaining audiences among the elite. Titilope Sonuga has established herself firmly to the root with her spoken word album, Mother Tongue which was released in 2013 followed by her second collection of poetry, Abscess, in 2014.
