NEWS: KENYAN WOMAN GIVES BIRTH AT POLLING STATION AND NAME THE BABY 'BALLOT'

Yesterday at a polling station, a Kenyan woman Paulina Chemanang gives birth to a baby girl while waiting to cast her vote in Kenya's election.

The other voters at the station helped her delivered the baby at Konyao Secondary School in West Pokot and later rushed her to a dispensary nearby.

she later came to cast her vote after the delivery, and was later interviewed by Kenya’s Capital FM where she said, ‘having given birth at a polling station is a blessing to me and I thank God’.
She has since named her baby Chepkura. “Kura” means ballot or vote in Swahili.
