President Muhammadu Buhari in a closed door meeting with the Chief of Defence Staff, Abayomi Olonisakin, has revealed the issue of the alleged Biafra Secret Service, Boko haram, Kidnapping and quit notice were among the many issues plaguing that country  that were discussed in the meeting  with the service Chiefs. The Chief of Defence said, the president has given some directives including the tackling the threats, which will be carried out by the military and securities agencies very soon. The meeting which lasted three hours between the President and the national security chiefs in the presidential villa in Abuja. NEWS: BRYDE'S WHALE WAHSED ASHORE IN EL NIDO, PALAWAN

On Sunday, a bryde's whale was beached on the shore of Sitio Gitan, Sibaltan in El Nido, Palawan, the whale was 13 meters long and sustained some wounds. The local authorities said they tried to coax the whale back into the sea but it eventually dies of it's wounds.The residents flocked to the beach excitedly and marveled at the whale. They said it was the first time a bryde's whale washed ashore here. There are three species of bryde's whale in the world, however not much is known about them except they are rarely sighted in the Pacific, Atlantic and Indian Oceans. The bryde's whale is among the species of whales that are scarce in number because of its commercial hunting. Autopsy will be perform on the bryde's whale to determine the cause of death said the local authorities. One more photo after the cut.

Alleged infidelity has caused tragedies in two home recently in the Gboko area of Benue state and Oto-Awori of Lagos state, on Sunday, after two angered spouse took the law into their hands. The first incident took place in the Adekaa community, Gboko, where a 33 year old man, Joshua Terka Uhir, stabbed his wife, Lucy, mother of two, to death with an axe after accusing her of having an affair outside their matrimonial home. In a similar incident that happened in Lagos that same Sunday, a woman, Folashade Idoko, stabbed her husband, Lawrence, to death with a kitchen knife after receiving a telephone call from a suspected female lover of the husband. In the first incident, Punchng, gathered that Joshua and the late Lucy have been married for six years and have two kids, however, the two have been having a lot of disagreement over petty issues that eventually resulted into fisticuffs.
