NEWS: INFEDILITY LED MAN TO KILL WIFE IN BENUE AND ANOTHER WOMAN KILLS HUSBAND IN LAGOS

Alleged infidelity has caused tragedies in two home recently in the Gboko area of Benue state and Oto-Awori of Lagos state, on Sunday, after two angered spouse took the law into their hands.

The first incident took place in the Adekaa community, Gboko, where a 33 year old man, Joshua Terka Uhir, stabbed his wife, Lucy, mother of two, to death with an axe after accusing her of having an affair outside their matrimonial home.

In a similar incident that happened in Lagos that same Sunday, a woman, Folashade Idoko, stabbed her husband, Lawrence, to death with a kitchen knife after receiving a telephone call from a suspected female lover of the husband.

In the first incident, Punchng, gathered that Joshua and the late Lucy have been married for six years and have two kids, however, the two have been having a lot of disagreement over petty issues that eventually resulted into fisticuffs.

But matter turned to worse on Sunday when the husband shut the door against Lucy and beat her up and later used an axe to stab her in the neck and immediately fled the crime scene.

A neighbour of the couple, Aga Samuel, said that before the incident, the couple were always   having alot of disagreement, where Joshua was always accusing Lucy of having extramarital affair.

Meanwhile, in Oto-Awori area of Lagos state, Folashade Idoko also stabbed her husband, Lawrence, to death with a kitchen knife around 11pm on Sunday. It was reported that the couple have been married for four years and have two children.

According to report, Lawrence who is an engineer working in Ogun state, returned home that day after a long week of official duty. Folashade started accusing him that day of keeping extramarital affair and that led to serious argument between them. But in a fit anger, Folashade drew a kitchen knife and stabbed the husband to death. She was later arrested. A neighbor, Mrs Blessing Olokpobri, said that Folashade was an aggressive and violent person, adding that neighbours and people around always tried to avoid her.

She said, “There was hardly a day they didn’t fight if the husband was at home. There was a time she went to meet him at a beer parlour. She dragged and stripped him. There was even a time she sliced his ear lobes with a broken bottle and it had to be stitched.”
