The Nigeria Army recovered about 21 additional bodies in an operation carried out on Sunday to rescue oil exploration workers captured by Boko Haram sect in Borno. A statement signed by the Director Army Public Relations Brig. General, Sani Usman released in Maiduguri, said that the army recovered vehicles and various calibres of weapons in the operation. “So far the search and rescue team has recovered additional bodies of five soldiers, 11 members of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) and five members of the exploration team. “Contrary to reports in some media, six out of the 12 members of the exploration team that went out are still missing, while one of the NNPC staff returned to base alive,” Kukasheka said. Reports reaching us suggests that all commercial and vehicular activities in Imo state, Friday, came to a halt as the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu visited. The minister for agriculture and rural development, Chief Audu Ogbeh, has said that the ministry is investigating the case of intercepted containers carrying snakes and other animals into the country by the Nigeria Customers Service. The Nigeria Customers Service recently intercepted 3 containers full of snakes and others animals being smuggled in Calabar. The Minister said that this is very serious case and called for concern and also demand that The Nigeria Quarantine Service should be allowed to do their job without interference at the ports and airports to make sure incidents like this are not allowed in the country. In Abuja while The Minister was addressing team of Journalists, said that, similar case was recorded when the Nigeria Quarantine Service intercepted container of kolanut being exported to Saudi Arabia, meanwhile the Saudi Arabia government had banned the importation of kolanut into the country. Clarence White, a 72 years old man, shot his much younger wife, 28 years old, in the face, leaving her in a very critical condition, because she had complained that he no longer satisfied her both financially and sexually., according to Police report.
