ENTERTAINMENT: MARTIN LANDAU STAR OF "ED WOOD" OSCAR WINNER DEAD AT 89
The star of 'Ed Wood' Martin Landau died yesterday Saturday in UCLA medical center after his brief stay in the hospital. He was 89 years old.
The legendary America film and television actor, who was born in Brooklyn began his career as a cartoonist and illustrator in the New York Daily News at the age of 17. He will later quit the newspaper and begin his acting career of 22, his new career launched him with his role in the 1957 Broadway debut of "Middle of the Night"
Martin landau made his film debut in 1959 in Alfred Hitchcock's "North by Northwest" in which he played Leonard, the assistant to a criminal mastermind.
