NEWS: A JEALOUS HOUSEWIFE NOW IN POLICE CUSTODY AFTER THROWING STEP DAUGHTERS INTO A WELL IN NASARAWA STATE

Aisha Isah, a 20 year old housewife from Kokona Local Government area of Nasarawa state has been arrested and now in police custody for throwing two of her step daughters into a well after a brief disagreement with the mother of the girls.

The Public Relation Officer of the Nasarawa state command, DSP Kennedy Idirisu said the step daughters, Zainab, 4, and Baaba, 2 were said to have been allegedly thrown into the well following a disagreement with the children’s mother.

The DSP also went further to state that the suspect was arrested in in Yelwan-Bassa village in Kokona Local Government Area following a report of the incident. DailyPost. Aisha Isah, the suspect has confessed to the crime and also expressed remorse over her action.

According to report gathered, Aisha who is the second wife of Alhaji Isah, was always in dispute with the first wife, Maimunna, and all efforts by the husband of both women to settle their endless beef proved abortive.

The PPRO said that Aisha Isah, the suspect claimed that the wife warned her children not to run errands for her which infuriated her since she had no child of her own. She said she has given birth to a baby girl in 2016 but the baby died after six months.

Idrisu said the suspect had thrown baby Baaba into the well in April but since no one saw her and no witness could confirm what happened, they all believed the baby accidentally fell into the well and died. But on August 26th, Aisha raised alarm that another baby has fallen into the well again, and the husband dashed into the well to rescue the baby, unfortunately it was too late as the baby had died before the husband brought her out from the well.

But the family became suspicion after the husband brought out the dead baby with her hands tied and this led to the arrest of Aisha, the second wife.

According to report, Aisha has confessed to the crime and also for baby Baaba's in April. The PPRO said the suspect would be prosecuted as soon as investigation into the matter was concluded.
