On the 4th of September between the hour of 9 am and 1 pm, a 14 year old schoolgirl was raped in broad daylight in a park. The schoolgirl was assaulted by a man in a secluded area in Avery Hill in South East London and till now no arrests have been made. The Metropolitan Police's Child Abuse and Sexual Offenses Command are still looking for the attacker while the victim is currently being supported by specialist officers. The Metropolitan police have released CCTV images of the suspect in attempt to gather information about the attack, the police were able to describe the man as a black man believe to be in his mid 20s, has slim figure and a short black hair.  He was last seen wearing sand-coloured combat trousers, dark blue shoes, and sun glasses with black round lenses and carrying a grey drawstring bag.  DC Mark Azariah from the Child Abuse and Sexual Offences Command said:-  "This was a horrendous attack on a vulnerable girl in the middle of the day....

The series of unrests and riots happening recent time in the south east has caused the new Abia state commissioner of police, Anthony Ogbizi, to warn that anybody found with the Biafra flag will be arrested and charged to court. Two suspected IPOB members have been arrested by the Delta State police command over the killing of Hausas person in Abraka market, Delta state following gunshots fired on Friday 15th by three arm men in black outfits, suspected to be IPOB members.  The Delta State Commissioner of Police,CP Zanna Mohammed Ibrahim disclosed this in a statement signed by the Delta State Acting Police Public Relations Officer,DSP Andrew Ania.aka. The two suspects arrested for shooting in the area predominantly inhabited by non-indigenes of the state and in the process killing four persons, while injuring many, include 24-year-old Abraham Ndudi from Kwale in Delta and 21-year-old Okereke Ifeanyi from Ogbaru, Anambra State. The RSS attached to the Lagos state police command was a lot of help today as they helped a lady who is in her early 30s on her way to Lagos Island in a commercial bus to Lagos Island maternity Hospital. According to report gathered that the pregnant lady first called to the passengers in the bus for help saying "help please, the baby head's is out" and was quickly rushed to the nearest private hospital in Ogudu by the RSS officers close to the Ketu Alapere footbridge but she was rejected because the nurses there said she didn't register with them and didn't have a card. However, after much fluid was lost and the lady was in serous pain, she later suggested they take her to the Lagos Island Maternity Hospital where she was instantly received and rushed to the labour room. The officers later left her in the hands of three volunteers and nurse before leaving the hospital and later returned to their duty post in Ketu Alapere this afternoon.

The state of gully erosion that has ravage three community in the Calabar Municipal Council area of Cross River state is becoming alarming. This has render over 20 people homeless and more properties are still under threat. Nyaghasang, the community that recently lost about eight people in the Calabar electrocution tragedy, has lost more houses to the gully erosion. Other villages affected are Etim Usang, Nsaha Effiom and Nyomidibi. The major road that connects these communities to other parts of the state capital, Nsasha Effiom Lane A, B and C, have also been affected thereby making it difficult for residents to access the main Calabar town.
