Like a child born in the early eighties, I know nothing of the political or economic dynamics of that time and growing up in the nineties, I was in awe with music, books, cartoons and Chinese movies, always wanting to do well in school to impress my father, always learning the trending music and fashion to properly socialize and show off to my friends...

Domestic drama and stuff is the trending topic in society at the moment, this is the story of one Glory who lost her right ear cause she allegedly bite off the ear of her husband's lover in Akipelai, Bayelsa State. Glory had bitten off the ear of one Bridget, her ex, Ben’s new lover, on  September 27, 2017, because she suspected that they were planning marriage. According to report, in retaliation, the eye witnesses at the scene quickly apprehended Glory and held down and also use a knife to chop off her own ear too.   However, Glory’s younger sister, Peace, took to Facebook, to blame Ben, accusing him of cutting off Glory’s ear because he’s dating someone who is Glory’s sister. According to report, one of the Matharoo sisters was arrested on international arrest warrant at the Marco Polo airport in Italy on Wednesday. Kiran Matharoo was caught in Italy as she disembarked a flight at venice's Marco Polo airport in Italy. It's believed the arrest was related to alleged sex torture case against Kiran and her sister, Jyoti in Lagos. In December of 2016, the Canadian duo were arrested on allegation of blackmailing wealthy men with obscene sex tapes and libeling them through their website, Naijagistlive.com. At one point, rumors has it that they have allegedly swindled 274 men. One of the alleged victims was Nigerian oil billionaire, Femi Otedola. But the sisters denied everything, blaming it on the Real Housewives of Lagos for their trials and tribulations. They were later granted bail which they jumped and fled Nigeria, making them to be declared most wanted.   

Former governor of Abia state, Orji Kalu said that the IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kalu is currently in London, that he fled through Malaysia. Ex Governor kalu, made this disclosure in an interview granted by Sunday Punch, he said that the Federal Government outlawed the activities of the IPOB because of its leader, Nnamdi Kalu ignored elders's advises. He also added that he doesn't know the whereabout of Nnamdi Kalu's parents. Katlong Bamaiyi is who originally from Jos, Plateau state met Peace Ohiro who is from Asaba, Delta State, they met in Ghana last year when Katlong was there for a brief visit and none knew that eventful encounter was going to lead to this marital union. Ajayi Tosin and Kesiena Tito are presently in contention over ownership of a five-month-old baby, Emmanuel Omkhode Ajayi, delivered by an 18-year-old girl in Warri, Delta State.   According to Dailypost, the matter deepened after Ajayi was allegedly arrested over the weekend, following a petition of “Threat to Life” instituted by Kesiena to the Nigeria Police Area Command.   Tosin Ajayi, a 23-year-old barber, claimed to have cohabited with Blessing Iroroteh since 2015 before she delivered a bouncing boy this year, 2017, in his house. The powerful 7.1 quake that fell Mexico city has left many devastated and 149 people killed in the process. Dozens of building tumbled in the mounds of ruble or seriously damaged in the highly populated parts of Mexico city and nearby state. Many hours passed and still, rescue workers were seen clawing through the wreckage of a primary school that partly collapsed in the city's south looking for any children who might be trapped. Some relatives said they had received Whatsapp message from two girls inside. President  Enrique Pena Nieto visited the school earlier in the night. At the time, he said 22 bodies had been found, and added in comments broadcast online by Financiero TV that 30 children and eight adults were reported missing. Rescuers were continuing their search and pausing to listen for voices from the rubble. Nigerian President,  Mohammed Buhari has told the assembly of 150 world leaders at the United Nations gathering held in New York that the recovery of looted wealth from his country is only possible through their cooperation. Buahri said this during his speech at the 72nd Uited Nations General meeting in New York on Tuesday. The President also went further to mention that the ISIS fighters who were under heavy attack were fleeing to Lake Chad Basin and the Sahel where the armies had weaker capacities to defeat them. Aside the fact that CHECKMATE was my favourite TV drama among the likes of BEHIND THE CLOUD, NEW MASQUERADE, SECRET OF THE SAND, WILI WILI, FORTUNES ETC and so many more i can't remember at the moment. Growing up in the heart of Lagos and being television addict, the character of Richard Mofe Damijo as Segun Kadiri and Ego Boyo as Ann Hathrope was a memory that stuck till date and i am very excited that after over twenty years of that fairytale journey, i am excited as these two screen lovebirds find their way back to the very place they first met, the TV screen.
