The time of our lives has never be staggering put to test like this present time of our youth and energy. We can never be this physically appealing, we can never be this energetic, we can never be this initiative, we can never be this creative once this time is stripped and unutilized. Our minds has been dormant for so long in this country while the ruling elites play their chess of deceit. The years are catching up with our age and yet our dreams of better lives and future are swept under the rug. The People Democratic Party (PDP) members are not the happiest people in Nigeria right now. There was a protest earlier today at the House of Representative over the defection of a member, Mr Raphael Igbokwe to the All Progressive Congress. Mr Igbokwe who is from Imo state, first came to the house in 2011. The members of People Democratic Party had argued that based on the recent decision of the supreme court, there was a division in the party. IMO state Governor Mr Rochas Okorochas, witnessed the defection of Igbokwe at the session. Mr Igbokwe announced that he had since joined APC in January when there was a leadership crisis in the PDP.

The tenacious story of kamarudeen Idowu who used to be a beggar on the streets of Lagos is one hell of inspiration tale of rags to riches. The majority Leader of the House of Representative, Femi Gbajabiamila yesterday gifted a physically challenged beggar turned barrister, Kamarudeen Idowu a Toyota Corolla car with a promise to give him a driver and pay for the driver's salary for one year. Barrister Kamarudeen Idowu who used to be a beggar on the streets of Lagos, decided to further his education by pursuing a degree in Law. He used the proceed from the begging to pay his way through the university. He was called to bar in 2016 after the completion of his law degree from the university of Lagos and Nigerian law school, Abuja Campus. The most controversial President of the year, Donald Trump has been banned from entering the United Kingdom town of Greenwich by the Councillors. Reuters reports that the Councillors in Greenwich, have  voted to bar Trump from the borough ahead of his proposed state visit. The labour-run Council called on the Government to abandon its plans to host the President in the new year. Greenwich council said that it had adopted a motion for the state visit not to go ahead, and that "Should a state visit go ahead, president Trump would not be welcomed in the borough." The Greenwich council also expressed "alarm at the decision of President Trump to retweet Ismamophobic propaganda" and showed "sadness at the President's bigoted attitude towards women and ethnic minorities." The case of Maryam Sands who murdered her husband, Bilyanu Bello by stabbing him to death has taken a new turn as the Nigeria Police Force on Thursday 14/12.2017 arraigned Maryam Sands, her mother, Maimuna Aliyu; her brother, Aliyu Sands; and a fourth defendant, Sadiya Aminu for the alleged murder of Bilyanu Bello. Maryam Sanda is the daughter in-law of a former PDP Chairman, Mohammed Bello. Mrs Sands was accused of killing her husband, Bilyanu Bello over allegation of infidelity. Before the unfortunate incident in November, they have been married for two years. Mrs Sanda's mother, Maimuna, who is also facing a separate charge of fraud, was on Thursday arraigned with her daughter along side two others. Reports PremiumTimes. The new charges against the accused defemdants are culpable homicide and obstruction of justice. Maryam Sanda who was covered in blue veil lowered her head as the charges was being read in court.

It was a ghastly accident yesterday in FESTAC town area of Omowo Odofin Local government as a tanker laden with fuel fell and went up in flame burning no more than 20 vehicles both nearby and the ones in an automobile shop and other commercial properties. The said fire started around noon and went on for over an hour. The Lagos state fire service arrived the scene 30minutes later but they were having short supply of water to contain the inferno. One witness identified as Mr Olufemi Popoola told the News Agency of Nigeria that the tanker, coming from Apple junction and going to FESTAC town was ascending the bridge but suddenly rolled back and fell. The impact of the fall separated the tank from the  truck's body resulting in an explosion. According to Popoola, he said, some residents and passers-by attacked the fire with bucket of water but to no avail. The management of Obafemi Awolowo university, Ile Ife said it has paid it workers earned allowances in compliance with the Federal Government directives. Following the payment, the university management is now urging the workers to stop protesting and the ongoing strike and return to work. A statement by the Public Relations Officer of the university, Mr Abiodun Olarewaju, today Wednesday noted that the money was paid to every segment of the university workforce He said, “Members of Academic Staff Union of Universities, Non Academic Staff Union, Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities and National Association of Academic Technologists benefited from the Earned Allowance. “With this development, the management, therefore, appeals to its striking workers to sheath their sword and allow peace to reign on campus.”
