Today is another historic day in US as it witnessed it's first solar eclipse in 99 years, The total eclipse started in Oregon around after 9AM. The total solar eclipse is where the moon completely blocks out the sun throwing the area into total darkness and this was seen across 14 states of the country. The rest of the states will only witness partial solar eclipse where the moon only cover part of the sun. In the state of Oregon, the locales ran out excitedly out of their homes to witness with their eclipse glasses or homemade contraptions in hands to watch the moon fully covers the sun, blotting out all but the halo-like solar corona. A secret diary kept by some of the 276 Chibok girls kidnapped by the Boko Haram has recently surfaced describing their ordeal during captivity. According to report, the diary was released by one of the Chibok girls who was recently released in Abuja at the location where the Federal Government is keeping them for a restoration period. In the diary, the girls claims that the Boko Haram Sect didn't intend to kidnap them when they invaded their school, they only came to steal machinery for construction. The diary described how the insurgents arrived the school to find the machinery were missing, and they debated what to do with the girls. The girl wrote in the diary " “One boy said they should burn us all, and they said: ‘No, let us take them with us to Sambisa … if we take them to Shekau, he will know what to do.’” While the authenticity of the contents of the diary cannot be ascertained, it revealed the horror and torture the  girls underwent during captivity.

A missing woman, who was thought to be dead for weeks now, roamed out of the woods 28 days later, naked and visibly sick. Lisa Theris, was announced missing on the 18 July, and her family feared the worst. But last Sunday, a woman driving down a country road outside of Union Springs, Alabama, spotted a naked woman and called the police.  “I just passed a road and there’s a lady that, she came out of the woods naked and she’s been sick. The attack in Barcelona that happened earlier today has left at least 13 people dead and about 50 injured after a van plowed through the city, and officiasl has confirmed it to be terrorist attack. A source at the scene has this to say: - "The horrifying incident went down Thursday afternoon near the popular tourist area of Las Ramblas. Police are calling it a "massive trampling" after the van mounted the sidewalk. Video taken at the scene shows bodies littered across the pavement. There's also at least one armed man reportedly holed up in a nearby restaurant." A Bronx kid by the name Luis Moux is been charged with manslaughter for choking his mother's ex boyfriend to death after walking in on her attack. According to the reports of NY post, the investigation by the police confirmed that Luis' mom Lorena Sesma and her ex boyfriend, Stanley Washington were arguing in the hallway of their building before Stanley followed Lorena into the apartment and began beating her violently. Luis, who was in his room then heard the cry of his mother and quickly rushed out to help her, wrapped his arms around Stanley's neck and began choking till he gave out. Though Luis had no prior record of arrests, but details are still unclear if his intention was on impulse after he couldn't stop Stanley from hitting his mother. A 77 years old man, Pastor Samuel Babatunde, has been arrested alongside 3 other suspects in connection with human parts discovered in his church. The pastor was apprehended with one suspected serial kidnapper, Jeremiah Adeola (32) and a 43-year old herbalist, Haruna Afolabi. The suspected Pastor is said to be the founder of the Cherubim and Seraphim church, Itedo Isinmi, Ayo Parish, Egan Road, in Iyesi Area of Sango-Ota. A female suicide bomber attacked a market place in Konduga in Borno state killing at least 27 people and 80 people in serious casualty early this evening. The said female bomber disguised herself as a buyer, found her way into the midst of the crowd at the market place and detonated the strapped bomb on her. The security authorities have taken control of the perimeter while efforts are being made to transport the injured victims to the hospital as well as the dead bodies. Watch this space for updates.
